Orewa Writers and Poets meet in the Moana Room upstairs at Orewa Library. Muster at 1.05pm for a 1.15pm start. First up is a 5-10 minute impromptu writing exercise then readings of the advance prompt (see below) of up to 400 words (no longer) of poetry or prose.

This month's prompt is ' joie de vivre', set by Kristen.

Poets who want a challenge could try to write an acrostic poem in which each line begins with a letter from the phrase joie de vivre. ๐Ÿ™‚

As a challenge for prose writers, your piece could exclude words like joy, fun, happiness, exuberance and other synonyms for joy, instead trying to convey the mood in other ways.

Writers are also invited to bring along one page of work to read and share, and/or to seek peer feedback. If any feedback wanted, it may help to being along printed copies of that work to share.
