Orienteering at Mounds State Recreation Area, Brookville, IN

Come orienteering near Brookville Lake! There is a nice restaurant on the lakeshore you can go to afterwards...you'll feel like you're on vacation!

In orienteering, participants get a detailed map and use it to locate a series of "control points"...like a treasure hunt. Suitable for all ages! There will be six different courses of varying difficulty and length, so there's one that's perfect for everybody. Free instruction for beginners, and if you want to try using a compass, we'll loan you that for free, too.

You can start orienteering anytime between 11 am to 1 pm.

You can also participate by registering at the event, but we only take cash.

Price is $10 for Orienteering Cincinnati members, $15 for non-member individuals and for groups of 2 to 5 doing a course together. $5 for youth individuals.

The event is located at the Glidewell Trailhead, on Mounds Beach Rd. The trailhead will show up on Google Maps. If you head for the beach at 10020 Mounds Beach Rd, Brookville, IN 47012, you will pass the trailhead about 2000 feet before you get to the beach!

Restroom facilities: portable toilet. Event Center: outdoors, open-sided shelter.
