Orienteering at Rentschler Forest MetroPark, NE of Hamilton, OH

Details
Orienteering and Easter eggs! In orienteering, participants get a detailed map and use it to locate a series of "control points"...like a treasure hunt! Suitable for all ages. On the easiest course, kids will collect plastic eggs, then turn them in for a prize at the end. There will also be more courses of varying difficulty and length, so there's one that's perfect for everybody. Free instruction for beginners, and if you want to try using a compass, we'll loan you that for free, too.
You can start orienteering anytime between 11 am to 1 pm.
You can participate by registering at the event, but we only take cash.
The Egg Orienteering costs $4 per child with a $10 family maximum; adults may accompany young children at no charge. Older children and adults may also choose to try one of several more difficult courses; the fee is $10 per person. You may do multiple courses at no additional charge.
Restroom facilities: modern outdoor. Event Center: outdoors, open-sided shelter. Parking and registration will be at the Cummins Shelter in Rentschler Forest, which does appear on Google Maps. The park entrance is on Reigart Rd.
