Orienteering at Boone County Environmental Center, Union, KY

Orienteering in Boone County Environmental Center park is great...please join us!

In orienteering, participants get a detailed map and use it to locate a series of "control points"...like a treasure hunt. Suitable for all ages! There will be two different courses of varying difficulty and length, so there's one that's perfect for everybody. Free instruction for beginners, and if you want to try using a compass, we'll loan you that for free, too.

You can start orienteering anytime between 10 am to 12 pm; rain or shine! Dogs are allowed.

You can also participate by registering at the event, but we only take cash.

Price is $15 adult, $10 youth, $5 discount for OCIN or OUSA club members.

ALERT: There is construction and closures on Camp Ernst Road both north and south of the entrance to Boone Co Environmental Center. Currently you can only get to the entrance from the south, but that may change before the event.

Restroom facilities: portable toilet. Event Center: outdoors.
