Craving some time in the great outdoors but not sure how to get started?
Looking to meet new people and enjoy a delicious taco while you’re at it?
You’re in the right place—The ORIGINAL Hiking for Tacos is back! After a short break, we’re resuming our regular weekly hikes along the beautiful Barton Springs trail, followed by a well-earned taco stop at Taco Deli. Come for the views, stay for the vibes (and the tacos). 🌮🥾
This group is for anyone and everyone ready to trade the couch for fresh air, soak up the outdoors, and make some new friends along the way.
Kids and dogs are absolutely welcome—just be sure to keep your furry companions on a leash! 🐾🌿
Please meet at the Pecan Grove Picnic Area at 10:00 am. After group introductions, we will hike (casually walk) along Barton Springs for about 2 miles to Taco Deli (Spyglass location), stop and eat tasty tacos, socialize, make a friend or two, and then hike back.
To enjoy this experience, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing, donning comfy sneakers, and bringing a water bottle. Please make sure to bring water for your dogs.
Parking:
You'll find ample parking spots available at the Pecan Grove Picnic Area. Parking is monitored and costs $7 at the lot.
When joining group events, kindly update your RSVP, as we'll be eagerly waiting for you. Remember to be compassionate and supportive, as group members may be at different stages in their hiking journey. We aim to foster connections and empower individuals through shared experiences in nature.

The taco place is usually busy when we reach it, so you should order your tacos online before we start the hike. To order your tacos:
Go to https://order.tacodeli.com/
Select the store location to "SPYGLASS"
Select your favourite taco(s) from their wide range of breakfast tacos.
Select the "In-Store Pickup" option and set the pickup time to 11 AM
