Cycling Through Tuscany and... Pass the Globe!
Details
Fall in love with provincial Italy on a cycling adventure through Tuscany’s villages
Our 8-day cycling journey began in the Renaissance heart of Florence, where art and history surround you at every turn, before we pedaled into rolling vineyards and olive groves toward Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci. From there, we climbed north to the medieval town of Barga and rode through the lush, mountain-framed valley of Garfagnana, where quiet roads and challenging ascents rewarded us with breathtaking views and deep tranquility. After days in the hills, reaching the Tyrrhenian coast near Viareggio for a refreshing seaside swim felt unforgettable — a perfect contrast of mountains and sea in one journey. We then continued to the 2,200-year-old walled city of Lucca, cycling along its Renaissance ramparts, before finishing in Pisa, where the Leaning Tower marked both our destination and a deeply satisfying sense of accomplishment.
Pass the Globe:
We'll take a few moments tonight to "pass the globe". This is when we give everyone (who is keen) a chance to say a few words about past or future travel experiences or aspirations. It's a good opportunity to connect and get to know each other a bit better.
