What we’re about
Hello! Welcome to the Orlando Financial Independence Club!
We are working to build a strong “FI” aka “FIRE” (Financial Independence - Retire Early) educational community in Central Florida. Glad you found us!
Our goal is to empower everyone to take charge of their own financial futures, in order to improve life for all people. We don’t sell anything, and we don’t charge any dues or fees… We volunteer our time to share knowledge and educate the community.
We participate in many FI educational communities, such as: the Mr. Money Mustache, ChooseFI, Bogleheads, Clark Howard, Dave Ramsey-FPU (Financial Peace University), ERE (Early Retirement Extreme), "Your Money or Your Life", Cashflow, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”, AARP, Vanguard Index funds, and FinCon communities... all of which are dedicated to empowering everyone to take charge of their own financial futures, and to improve life for all people around the world.
We love to share our knowledge of saving money, frugality, investing, early retirement, and all financial independence topics. Our members have a variety of skill sets ranging from newbies, students, retirees, technical folks, and all walks of life. We all share a common passion for improving financial education and financial independence for all people. We welcome your ideas and hope to get folks excited about learning and improving our group.
We are passionate about strengthening the community by increasing skills in all areas which impact financial independence and retirement (i.e., career planning, earning, saving, frugality, investing, financial planning, retirement planning, etc.), for all people, and supporting education for everyone... preschoolers through retirees.
Come join us and please suggest events, projects & topics of interest.
There is no cost to join and there are no dues. We do not sell anything. We may from time to time allow folks who do sell services to talk to our members for a couple of minutes, but that’s not the focus of this group. This group is for free education for everyone.
You can learn how to do most everything financial from fellow members.
Our mission is to share the rules of money and how money works, in order to empower people to improve their own lives, as well as the lives of their loved ones. We believe everyone benefits from investing in your own personal development, and we'll share many strategies to improve your savings, get out of debt, and improve your financial future by working towards your own financial independence. We provide a safe environment where a novice can learn from more experienced folks.
