The Summer of Love: Psychedelic Acoustic Folk-Rock Performance Meetup

The psychedelic movement gave rise to some of the best music of the 60s and 70s. While bands typically associated with the movement include the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, the Doors and Pink Floyd, many of the powerhouse groups of the era produced music overlapping the same style, including the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, the Moody Blues, and the Byrds. Folk artists like Donovan and even Dylan produced their share of psychedelia for a time. The Summer of Love and Woodstock were watershed events in rock and folk-rock history. Let's play our acoustic versions of some of these gems!

I'll take the liberty of first pick to set the tone but find the music that calls you! Of course we'll do a couple group songs like Ripple, or whatever else seem to the group the best representative songs of the era. Try your best to stay on theme!

Please do nominate any other group songs that will be fun to get everyone singing.

If you are able to prepare a duo or trio act in advance- that would be splendid. Communicate with one another and create musical partnerships!
