The Mt Dora Sunset Challenge is a fun, skill-based competition that sends teams through the historic district on a fast mix of photo and video challenges and text trivia. The team that earns the most points takes home the $500 cash prize, earned by skill, not chance. No app download. No signup. Just scan the QR code to join and play.
The timing is the magic: the challenge runs straight through golden hour, with the sun setting over Lake Dora at 8:27 PM as you play. Expect your best shots of the night.
How it works:
We meet at 7:00 PM to get teams set up and ready to play. The challenge starts promptly at 7:30 PM and runs one hour. All teams must be back by 8:30 PM. The team with the most points wins the $500.
Teams are 6 to 8 players. One device enters the challenges and clues while the rest of the team helps navigate, spot, and create. Have a group? Bring them. Flying solo? We will place you on a team at the event.
Come with a fully charged phone and some water.
Free to participate. No entry fee, no purchase necessary.
Afterward, stick around. Grab food and drinks in town and swap stories from the night.
