HYBRID EVENT: Business Ethics 2023

This is a new series, applying Stoicism to managing your business.

StoicDan will present "Business Ethics 2023", a new course sponsored by the UCF Business Incubator. On the first Wednesday of every month, we will explore how Stoicism can help in setting business goals and managing growth. This course is designed for business CEOs, managers, and entrepreneurs in Central Florida. The goal is to start an ethics initiative at your company.

The UCF Business Incubator (on Colonial Drive) has room for 24 seats, plus others can attend online. The parking lot is large, and our Zoom account can host 100 people max. So, this is a hybrid event. The event will start promptly at 11:30AM, so please be on time.

Description

Stoicism (starting in 300 BC) teaches us to practice virtue, build character, and live in harmony with other human beings. Stoicism is also popular with entrepreneurs. StoicDan will introduce you to tools that improve leadership, motivate employees, overcome obstacles with resilience, and to have a sense of flourishing (deep happiness in life). StoicDan will also apply ethics to product branding, social media use, and creating a sustainable business model.

StoicDan's Bio

StoicDan is a teacher and public speaker on Stoicism. His largest group is the Orlando Stoics (7 years, 900+ events, 2100+ members). Curriculum is based on Stoicism, history, psychology, plus Humanism, Buddhism, Taoism, Existentialism, and American Transcendentalism. He has spoken at 5 international conferences and has a YouTube channel with 200+ videos on philosophy.

The UCF Business Incubator is near the corner of Colonial Drive and Maguire Boulevard. Look for Kabooki Sushi or BuyBuy Baby and drive further back in the parking lot. You will see the Executive Airport beyond teh fence. The address is 3218 E Colonial Drive, Suite G, Orlando, FL 32803. Parking is free. Many parking spaces are available.
