IN-PERSON: Dr. Martin Luther King Candlelight Vigil [interfaith event]

Details

This is a special interfaith event / field trip for Orlando Stoics.

On Sunday, January 8th, the City of Orlando is sponsoring a candlelight vigil, which starts at City Hall (400 South Orange Avenue) and proceeds to Shiloh Baptist Church. It takes less than an hour to walk. In past years, we've enjoyed walking and conversation with friends and strangers.

READING - Unlike most events for Orlando Stoics, there is no topic / discussion planned. However, our group has studied his work "Letter from Birmingham Jail" and its Stoic qualities. If you'd like to read:

COST - This event is free, and no registration is required. However, please RSVP here on Meetup so StoicDan knows how many people to expect.

PREPARE - Please bring a bottle of water and a sweater (the temperature may fall this evening).

PARKING - Free parking at City Commons Garage on 460 Boone Avenue. Please arrive 15 minutes early so you can walk to City Hall and arrive on time at 5:30PM.

MORE INFO - The official city page is here: https://www.orlando.gov/Events/2022-Dr.-Martin-Luther-King-Candlelight-Vigil
