HYBRID EVENT: Business Ethics 2023 - Class for April

This is a new series, applying Stoicism to managing your business.

StoicDan presents "Business Ethics 2023", a program sponsored by the UCF Business Incubator and the Stoic Trust. On the first Wednesday of every month, we will explore how Stoicism can help in setting business goals and managing growth. This course is designed for business CEOs, managers, and entrepreneurs in Central Florida. Scott Hill is the project's technical consultant.

Hybrid Event

The UCF Business Incubator (on Colonial Drive) has room for 24 physical seats. The parking lot is large. In addition, our Zoom account can host 100 people. So, this is a hybrid event. You can attend in-person (and join us for lunch) or attend online. The event will start promptly, so please be on time.

Description

Stoicism (starting in 300 BC) teaches us to practice virtue, build character, and live in harmony with other human beings. Stoicism is also popular with entrepreneurs. StoicDan will introduce you to tools that improve leadership, motivate employees, overcome obstacles with resilience, and to have a sense of flourishing (deep happiness in life). StoicDan will also apply ethics to product branding, social media use, and creating a sustainable business model.

Lunch

Free lunch will be provided by a local Publix.

Bio

StoicDan is a teacher and public speaker on Stoicism. His largest group is the Orlando Stoics (8 years, 970+ events, 2300+ members). Curriculum is based on Stoicism, history, psychology, plus Humanism, Buddhism, Taoism, Existentialism, and American Transcendentalism. He has spoken at 6 international conferences and has a YouTube channel with 200+ videos on philosophy.

Directions

If you attend in-person: the address of the UCF Business Incubator is 3218 E Colonial Drive, Suite G, Orlando, FL 32803. It is near the corner of Colonial Drive and Maguire Boulevard. Look for Kabooki Sushi or BuyBuy Baby and drive to the back of the parking lot. You will see the Executive Airport beyond the fence. Parking is free. Many parking spaces are available.
