Learn how to navigate the Unity Editor, manipulate game objects, and program custom behaviors while creating an obstacle course video game.

Age Requirements: 13-Adult
Recommended Prerequisite: Melrose Center's Unity Fundamentals and Programming Basics.
Required Skills: None
Materials Fee: None
Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees)

Part 1 (11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) Learn how to navigate, access, and utilize the Unity Editor's workspace, how to manipulate game objects in a 3D environment, and how to edit game object components.

Part 2: (2 p.m.-3:30 p.m.) Create and manipulate primitive game objects and use them to build the obstacles and platforms in your game.

Part 3: (4 p.m.-5:30 p.m.) Create and program a player game object to run, jump and pick up coins to complete the game. Program checkpoints and dead zones to achieve the goals of the game.
