This free in-person demo offers a hands-on guide to calibrating, connecting, and synchronizing a virtual camera with a real-world camera using the Vive Mars CamTrack system and Unreal Engine. This event is intended for those who are already well versed in Unreal Engine.

  • Unreal Engine integration: Add Vive Mars as a Live Link source and ensure tracking data is being received reliably.
  • Camera and lens calibration:
  • Learn how to use the Mars Calibration Kit and accompanying Camera Calibration Tool to capture lens distortion.
  • Create a reusable lens file asset within Unreal Engine based on your captured data.
  • Calibrate the crucial nodal point offset for accurate parallax.
