Orlando 20-40ish board games

Hello! Live at the Pointe has offered to host us at their Sports and Social bar/restaurant.

Consider this a ‘save the date’ and reminder for yourself rather than a traditional RSVP. Like the other events, I won't be checking a list.

They're located right on I-Drive, in the same plaza as YardHouse, Wonder Works, Maggiano's, The Capital Grille, a movie theater, and entertainment options... there's a VR gaming place (Sandbox VR) in the same plaza.

** Parking is $10, which can be validated with purchase **

We’ll have the upper mezzanine. It'll be set up for 25 people. If more come, then there's a floor directly below with tables. These are easy games to transport. Altogether, max in person capacity for this event will be around 35 people.

Beyond the event, there is plenty to do at The Pointe's 6 bars & restaurants, at other places in the plaza, and on I-drive.

The Pointe consists of:

• Sports & Social (has a dart room)
• PBR Cowboy Bar (has a mechanical bull)
• Shark Bar
• Sal's Pizza
• Still Lounge by Snoop and Dre
• The Palm Tree Club

I prefer that you don't bring your own games to this one unless they’re small ones you can carry around with you. I’ll post what I’m bringing soon.

How this happened
Their promotions manager got in touch and offered. They’re hoping to make $ from food and drinks. If you attend, please buy something either at the event or at one of their 6 bars/restaurants after.

Thanks to everyone who has attended an event before. September happens to be our 2-year mark. Special thanks if you left a review, brought a friend, or mentioned it to someone. I really appreciate it. You are very directly the reason this group is able to reach the people who want to find it.

Hello! Join us for good coffee, snacks, and board games. We start at 9:30am and go until 1pm. Some come a little later, others leave a little earlier.

Late joiners and walk-ins are welcome.

For refreshments, Stardust offers coffee, tea, and a menu (cafe food).

In addition, usually people bring games, too. Different types.

*Parking spots: in the parking lot, on a side street, or across the street (liquor store parking lot - at your own risk, but no one's been towed or ticketed).*

If RSVPs are full, come by anyway. Usually, 40-50% of RSVPs attend in person and not at the same time. It's a neat area to hang out for a bit.

What to expect:
Usually, a few people show up right at the start. We pick a game and start playing something that others can join easily and quickly as it goes along.

As more people arrive, that group breaks into 2 games, etc. Some people stick with the same group. When a game finishes, it's common to change games or tables. Walk around and see what's there.

If I look up and see someone standing with a confused look on their face, I ask if they're looking for the board game group and give a little welcome. This head check is about as much hosting as I do.

Please make yourself comfortable. Everyone's there to unwind and meet new people. If you have a question and want to figure out where the organizer is, ask someone nearby and we'll find our way to each other.

That's about it. We're the only group there. Space hasn't been a problem.

I have my set of games on a table by the front. Others are usually also there or with the people who brought them, who might be seated somewhere else. If you see a game, the people by it are probably with this group
