Building Beautiful Command Line Apps

Welcome Pythonistas!

Have you ever tried adding command line args to your Python programs? How about formatting your print statements to look nice instead of run-on sentences? What about all those validation checks so your code doesn’t break? What if you want your program to barf rainbows?

Worry not; typer and rich are here to save the day!

We’ll take an existing command line app and give it a glow-up with typer (CLI structure and validation) and rich (output formatting) because devs should also get to look at nice things.

And yes, rainbows will be involved.

We meet monthly for good discussion and Python shenanigans. You can show off a project you're working on or any problems that we can help solve. We're always looking for people to give lightning, beginner, and skill-based talks. Message us if you're interested in speaking!
