Walking on Wednesday - A Grief Support Activity

Details
Whether it happened yesterday, or you lost a loved one 20 years ago, grief is different for all of us. At times like this, it seems the only people who understand are those who have been, or are going through it. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is get out of the house, or even move just to simply go for a walk. You may feel like your body is weighted down, like the grief is in your muscles and bones. Come spend a little time with us.
We will be at Mayaan Ooyakma Coyote Ridge Open Space Preserve from 11:30 - 1:00pm. The wet conditions have closed the trail up into the Habitat Protection Zone, but we can enjoy the gateway staging area and the little ADA access trail there. We can talk, share support ideas, or simply look out at the beauty of nature in peace and quiet if you like.
This is a share by choice and no expectations. It is perfectly okay to cry if the need strikes you, but this is also not intended as a somber experience. If all you feel like doing is listening or just being with others, you are more than welcome. We are here for you. Let nature heal you and restore you.
This is a nature preserve so sorry, no pets other than assistance animals please. There is no running water here, so please bring water or something to drink. We won't be going far this time and it won't be physically difficult at all. We would love to see you.
Teri from Open Space Authority will be here along with Lisa from the Sierra Club. We have all experienced grief and we are here for you.
