Welcome to Gin Through Japan, a small community for people who enjoy culture, craftsmanship, and the quiet pleasure of gin.
We host intimate tasting sessions and cultural experiences that explore how Japan expresses itself through craft spirits — not through lectures, but through comparison, conversation, and shared curiosity.
Our first project, Gin Through Japan – Osaka Craft Gin Tasting, invites English speakers to discover Japanese gin side by side, and to see it not only as a drink, but as a window into local stories, landscapes, and people.
This is a relaxed, small-group space where there are no right answers — just tasting, talking, and discovering together.
Who We Are
Koba
Founder of ShoGin.jp, organizer of the Osaka Gin Rally, and creator of the Uda Distillery project (in progress).
Works across both making and tasting Japanese craft gin.
Nobu
A dedicated gin enthusiast and collector, known for deep hands-on knowledge of distillation, botanicals, and flavor differences.
Brings the perspective of someone who drinks, compares, and thinks deeply about gin.
