Welcome to Gin Through Japan, a small community connecting people who love culture, craftsmanship, and the quiet pleasure of gin.
We organize intimate tasting sessions, cultural experiences, and creative collaborations that explore how Japan expresses itself through craft spirits.
Our first project, the Osaka Craft Gin Experience, invites English speakers to discover Japanese gin — not only as a drink, but as a window into local stories, landscapes, and people.
We’re led by:
Koba – Founder of ShoGin.jp, organizer of Osaka Gin Rally, and creator of Uda Distillery (in progress).
Nobu – One of Japan’s top gin collectors, with 500+ bottles and deep knowledge of distillation and botanicals.

Gin Through Japan (Free Test Session) – Discover Japanese Craft Gin in Osaka
Tennoji, 竹澤ビル 大阪府大阪市阿倍野区旭町1-1-10 9 階、ルームB 〒545-0051, Osaka, JPJoin us for a small, English-guided craft gin tasting in Tennoji, Osaka.
You’ll explore six unique gins — five from Japan and one from abroad — while learning about the distillers, their regions, and the botanicals that shape each flavor.
This is a free test session before launching our official Airbnb Experience.
We simply want to share good drinks, exchange honest impressions, and meet people who love discovering Japan through its culture.
Each guest will:
Taste six gins (5 Japanese, 1 international)
Learn about Japanese craft distillers and local botanicals
Enjoy one cocktail made with your favorite gin
Receive a ShoGin.jp coaster as a small gift
The tasting is hosted in English by one of the following guides:- Koba, founder of ShoGin.jp and organizer of the Osaka Gin Rally, currently preparing to open Uda Distillery in Nara.
- Nobu, one of Japan’s leading gin collectors, with over 500 bottles and extensive knowledge of distillation and botanicals.
