Osaka JALT Hanami

Come join us for some friendly peer-, near-peer-, and community mentoring and networking at our annual hanami social in Osakajokoen (Osaka Castle Park) ! It’s FREE and open to everyone, so please join us with family, friends, colleagues, students, pets, and acquaintances. All are welcome!

However, please note that specific entertainment will not be provided for children, so please bring something to keep them busy.

Look for our blue JALT banner on the south side of the park. We will grab a spot along the southern stretch of the castle moat (with the Natural History Museum to the east and the Shirominami Lawson inside the park to the west). It’s a short, easy walk from Morinomiya or Tanimachiyonchome metro stations or Morinomiya station on the JR Loop Line (fyi, depending on the route you take through the park, there may be a large staircase).

We’ll have plastic sheets to sit on and some snacks to share, so stop by with a beverage and possibly more food to share, and maybe an additional sheet to sit on to be sure we have plenty of room to stretch out. Most importantly, bring a happy vibe to celebrate the cherry blossoms, the coming of spring, and the start of the new academic year!

We have no limit on attendees, so if the Meetup shows full capacity, still come and join us! RSVPs are not required but appreciated for planning purposes.
