Welcome to the Osaka Women's Walking Group!
This group is perfect for women (sorry, no men allowed) who love exploring on foot, discovering hidden gems, escaping into nature and meeting like-minded individuals.
Whether you enjoy relaxed strolls through the city parks or hikes a bit further out from Osaka, this group is for you. Meet up events will be designed to be suitable for all, including mothers with children.
Let's enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavours of Osaka together while staying active and healthy. Join us for our regular meetups and connect with other women who share your passion for exploring the great outdoors.
All events are just a 500 yen contribution, aiming to be affordable for anyone to join.

🎃👻 Women's Spooky Halloween Hike 👻🎃

Let’s explore one of Kansai’s most unique trails together! We’ll hike the abandoned JR Fukuchiyama railway line—a flat riverside path that winds through the dramatic Mukogawa Gorge. Expect breathtaking views, a touch of mystery, and many seriously spooky tunnels (one is 450m long!)

✨ Key Details and Itinerary:
- Meeting Point: Osaka Station, Tokaido-Sanyo Line, Platform 6 at 10:00. Alternatively, you can meet us at Namaze Station at 10:40.
- Cost: just 500 yen
- Travel Osaka → Namaze Station: about 40 minutes
- Hike distance: Usually around 1.5-2 hours walking with rest stops, photo breaks, and tunnels.
- Café stop at Takedao (bring cash): ~30 minutes
- Travel Takedao Station → Osaka: about 45 minutes
- Women only event (children are welcome)
🕯️ Important! Bring a real TORCH/FLASHLIGHT. Phone lights won’t cut it—you’ll be passing through old railway tunnels in pitch black, and trust me, it’s much scarier without proper light. Along the way, we’ll pause at scenic spots with benches overlooking the river, and reward ourselves at a café with mountain and riverside views before heading back to Osaka.
💀 It’s just 35 minutes from Osaka, but feels like stepping into another world.
NOTE: I am from England and don't speak Japanese very well yet but will do my best to communicate with all attendees. Thank you for your understanding.

関西でとてもユニークなトレイルを一緒に探検しませんか？
今回は廃線となったJR福知山線を歩きます。武庫川渓谷沿いの平坦な道で、息をのむような景色やちょっとしたミステリー、そして本当にスリル満点のトンネルが待っています！（最長450mのトンネルも！）

📍 集合場所： 大阪駅 東海道・山陽線 6番ホーム 10:00
または、生瀬駅で10:40に合流することもできます。
💴 参加費：500円
🚃 大阪 → 生瀬駅：約40分
ハイキング：休憩・写真タイム込みで約1.5〜2時間
武田尾でカフェ休憩（現金をご用意ください）：約30分
武田尾駅 → 大阪：約45分🕯️ ご注意！必ず懐中電灯をご持参ください。スマホのライトでは暗すぎて危険です。真っ暗な廃線トンネルを通りますので、ライトがないと本当に怖いです。途中では川を見下ろすベンチのある絶景スポットで休憩し、最後は山と川に囲まれたカフェで一息ついてから大阪へ戻ります。
💀 大阪からたった35分で、まるで別世界に足を踏み入れたような体験ができますよ。
