Welcome to Oslo Kreativ AI Meetup #18 at Trekanten!🚀

This time, we’re teaming up with VISOID for an evening dedicated to architecture, design, and creative AI. Under the theme Crafting Atmospheres, we’ll explore how light, space and materials shape our experience of a place, and how AI can extend traditional methods while architects, designers and artists set the creative direction.

Joining us is Radu Axinte, an architect at Heatherwick Studio in London and founder of Techy Sketching. Radu combines freehand sketching with digital tools and AI, helping architects and designers build their skills and rediscover the joy of drawing. His work explores how the sketch remains a powerful starting point for developing and communicating ideas.

We’ll also welcome Torstein Hågård Bakke from Void, an industrial design engineer and creative technologist. Working across art, architecture, design and technology, Void creates installations that bring digital tools into physical spaces through light, sound and movement.

What happens when architecture becomes democratic? Together with VISOID, we’ll explore that idea through a live experiment in collaborative design, turning individual preferences into a shared creative vision. Starting with a simple 3D model, you’ll vote on its location, time of day, season and materials. We’ll bring those choices together in a live demo, exploring how a few creative decisions can transform the atmosphere of a space.

We’ll finish with a joint Q&A, followed by drinks, mingling, and more conversation.

OKAI welcomes everyone curious about creative AI. This evening is especially relevant to architects, designers, artists, and anyone working with spaces and visual expression. No prior experience is needed.
