Book meetup: "Wuthering Heights" by Emily Brontë

Welcome to our February book meetup! Our theme this month is books turned into movies. The gap between the winner and runner up narrowed a bit towards the end, but no one was able to catch up to "Wuthering Heights" by the middle Brontë sister Emily. This over the top love story was slated by the critics when it was first published in 1847, but is now one of the greatest classics of British literature.

This book has been turned into many movies, and the most recent version starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi will open in Oslo theaters on February 13th. We will arrange a trip to the movies for the book club to see it. More info on that coming up.

This meetup will take place in person at the main library in downtown Oslo and will also have an online option for anyone who wants to join remotely via Zoom - see the link in the "how to find us" section of the event for more details. Please let us know *in advance* if you are interested in joining us via Zoom!

After the meetup, for those who are interested, we may head off somewhere nearby for a drink (attendance optional :-)
