Book meetup: "Stoner" by John Williams

Welcome to our May book meetup (slightly delayed)! This month we are reading the modern classic "Stoner" by American author John Williams. "Stoner" was first published in 1965 and received little attention, but when republished in this current century it was praised and became widely read.

The story has many points of resemblance with Williams' own life, but he called the novel a work of complete fiction.

This meetup will take place in person at our regular haunt Bristol Pub
in downtown Oslo as the library is full of chess players for a couple of weeks. We will not have the online option this month.
