Welcome Back both to our wonderful existing members and all the new Big Data Vikings! Our numbers have grown now to 730 which is very exciting. We are so excited by the interest, engagement and passion show at every meetup.

As always we will present some great introductions to Big Data, show you what its all about, give some exciting real examples, hands on demonstrations, sharing.

So come build your network and knowledge all at the same time. The content is for everyone no matter your skills and you will gain some valuable insights and understanding.

2. Speaker #1- IBM Data Science Experience

Kim is responsible for Pre-sales at IBM Analytics and will share with us some interesting insights and experiences with Data Science at IBM.

Jessica Perez (Microsoft)
3. Speaker #2- Microsoft IOT and Azure Challenge

Technical Evangelist at Microsoft and is responsible for Open Source and community at Microsoft and will present an exciting community project we would like to initiate. Microsoft will provide a complete platform for free for 12 months and we would like to recruit a team from the meetup who will work together the next 6 months to build an IOT solution on Azure. The team will present progress at each of the Big Data Vikings meetup and at the end present the showcase.

4. Speaker #3 - Spark / NiFi / Hbase

Luca is CTO at Broentec Solutions AS, working hands on with technologies such as Spark and NiFi and will present some of his work and share his experiences.

Stephen will share some Big Data projects and experiences in and around retail and the car industry. Stephen will talk about the type of data used, how it was captured retrieved and then exploited.
