Ride to Nordre Øyeren naturreservat (Fetsund Lenser): Moved to 18.mai

Keeping a weekend ride to the Nordre Øyeren naturreservat (Station: Fetsund). We will be visiting Fetsund Lenser, which is a Norwegian national cultural heritage monument, log driving museum, and wetland center at the outlet of the Glomma River into Lake Øyeren in Fetsund in Viken county.

We will start at Grorud T at 10:30 - please note that Line 4 reaches at 10:17 & Line 5 reaches at 10:23. These are the best options for the start point, unless someone wants to ride to start point. Note that bikes can be carried for free in T-Bane over the weekends.

Plan is to reach Fetsund Lenser - which is situated beyond Lillestrøm next to Glomma river. We can take lunch their and a bit of rest. Those who are interested, can also visit the museum & nature reserve center. It also has a cafe. It is advisable to carry matpakke & water.

We will start back around 14:00 and will end the ride near Sinsen (or somewhere convenient inside Oslo). Note: there is a train station at Fetsund as well - so if anyone is really tired, they can utilize that too.

PS - Time for staying & exploring the Fetsund area is flexible - and we can start early if required. If someone is interested just to explore Fetsund Lenser, they can reach directly as well, but we cannot be sure of the time we will reach there.

Total Distance: 50-55 kms approx (to & fro)

If it's your first time participating, the basic rules are
(i) You must have a helmet
(ii) we change the pace as needed
(iii) you are allowed to get off and push
(iv) you can stop and rest whenever you want or if you want to admire the view
(v) we modify the route real time depending on how everyone is feeling
(vi) all types of bikes (e-bikes, road bikes, hybrids, mountain bikes etc.) are welcome unless specifically stated otherwise
(vii) did we say you need a helmet?

and most importantly, you will need to bring a bicycle of course, and anything else you may need for a ride.
