What we’re about
NixOS is a Linux distribution with a unique approach to package and configuration management. It makes it easy to declaratively build and configure software, install parallel versions of the same tools, build environment sandboxes, container images and more.
This group is for those who use Nix/NixOS, or are interested in it. Related topics such as repeatable software execution, reproducible builds, bootstrapping and so on are also welcomed.
If you care about a better way to build, configure and deploy software - this meetup group is probably for you!

Welcome to Oslo NixOS Meetup for April, hosted by NAV IT at Helsfyr!
(Please read the NB).Agenda:
- Admission from ~14-15 hundred for anyone who'd like to sit and hack nix/socialize until event starts
- Event proper starts ~17.00, w/5 - 15 min intro

- Maybe some other presentation(s)...?
- Hack fest for anyone wanting to socialize and hack on Nix!
- @20.00 start tidying up after us and evacuate the premises!
- @20.30 maybe some would like to continue the hangout, maybe get some food and/or beer? =)
Public transport instructions:
- Arrive Helsfyr metro station
- Take east exit towards Fyrstikktorget/Kiwi
- Get behind Narvesen
- Walk down the walk path alongside E6, for ~100+ m until garage entrance(s) between buildings to the right
- Walk up stairs to the right of garages, and find entrance ~20m forwards to your left
