Kevlin Henney - Five Considerations

Details

Abstract

Good product, good architecture, good interfaces, good names, good tests, good practices... good grief! So much to know, so much keep in mind, so much to do. Software development is a discipline and a domain long on recommendations and short on time. How can those involved balance all the conflicting concerns?

This talk takes a step back from the busy and overpopulated world of detailed best-practice style recommendations -- recommendations that come by the dozen, in fifties or as 97 -- to look at five considerations that can help you make sense of both the detail and the bigger picture of software architecture.

Kevlin Henney will be in Oslo to give his "Architecture with Agility" course and while staying here he has been kind enough to give a talk for the community.

NB! DIFFERENT LOCATION

Please note that this meetup will be held at The Scotsman (2nd floor).
