Modern web operations depend on rapidly building and deploying applications to the cloud. With improvements in continuous integration, the remaining bottleneck in fast application cycle times remains the guest OS layer.

This changes with OSv, an operating system designed from the ground up to run applications in the cloud. OSv is a library OS -- you can think of using it as being a way to boot a userspace application directly into the cloud. Forget OS management: it’s your application, plus a minimal high-performance OS needed to run it on a hypervisor, and that's it.

The VM build takes 9 seconds, so we'll have plenty of time for questions.
