What we’re about
If you are a lover of science fiction, fantasy and/or horror literature, please feel free to join us each month via Zoom for book discussions. Each person is free to choose their own title each month based around a common theme or author. Discussion of titles and brainstorming for future readings will be a part of each meeting. See you there!

This month's themed discussion will be "Pirates." This theme is inspired by the r/fantasy 2025 Book Bingo Challenge, and the prompt for this challenge reads, "Pirates: Read a book where characters engage in piracy. HARD MODE: Not a seafaring pirate."
If you are having a hard time finding a book, here are a few recommendations:
- Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson (light-hearted fantasy, recommended to people who like The Princess Bride)
- Running Close to the Wind by Alexandra Rowland (Comedic Fantasy)
- Fable by Adrienne Young (YA Fantasy)
- Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi by S. A. Chakraborty (High Fantasy)
If you have more recommendations, especially ones in a sci-fi setting, please comment them below!
I'll send a meeting link to everyone who registers via email 10 minutes before the meeting begins, and I'll also put the link in the comments on this event.
