Open Discussion

Hey everyone, let's keep these discussions going; whether we go back to topics untouched previously or open up to new ones. We'll be in the back private room ("Roxy Room") of the Royal Oak under a reservation for "Howard". (If for any reason the pub is closed without prior notice we will meet at the Tim Hortons across the street from the pub.)

The hope for these meetings is to cultivate a space where there can be free dialogue and a mutual sharpening of our sense-making frameworks, all the while building community. Think of it as a forum for dialogue about meaningful things with a (somewhat eclectic) group of people.
The structure will be as before, but for anyone new or as reminder:

• We'll go around the table answering “what have you been thinking about 1) intellectually/academically, 2) personally/existentially, or 3) contextually/culturally/in-the-news that in dialogue with those around us we can better understand the question and approach the truth?
• Then we'll go around again and let everyone say what, of those topics brought up or one brought up in previous meetings, would interest them to discuss.
• From that point on, we’ll allow the conversation to grow.

These conversations and done in good faith with an objective of sense-making and truth-seeking, not looking towards debates or arguments. We look forward to interesting and fruitful connections and conversations!
