Welcome to the Ottawa-Gatineau Black People Meetup Group!
Whether you’re a local or visiting the region, we warmly welcome Black people, their friends, and allies of all colours. This group was created to bring together Black people in the Ottawa-Gatineau area, giving us the opportunity to connect, get to know each other, make friends, and enjoy activities together.
We are a diverse, inclusive group that loves to socialize, build friendships, and have fun. Everyone is welcome—no matter your colour, gender, or age.

Hello everyone,
You’re warmly invited to join us for a special evening of culture, food, and fun! 🍽✨
We’ll start with dinner at Restaurant Makasi in Hull from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM — a great spot to discover and enjoy delicious African cuisine. This is also a wonderful opportunity to support a restaurant from our community, connect with each other, and share a great meal together.
After dinner, at 9:00 PM, we’ll walk just a few steps away to the Casino du Lac-Leamy, where we’ll enjoy live music and dancing 🎶💃🕺— the perfect way to end the night in style!
