Celebrate the Summer Solstice with Humanist Ottawa!

Join us for an informal and uplifting evening to mark the longest day of the year! We’re inviting humanists, atheists, agnostics, and freethinkers from the Ottawa area to raise a glass, share a meal, and enjoy some good conversation in honour of the summer solstice—a moment that has inspired celebration across cultures and centuries.

From Stonehenge to Scandinavia, from ancient Africa to modern festivals around the globe, the summer solstice has long been a time to gather in recognition of nature’s rhythms and the richness of life. As secular humanists, we celebrate meaning in the here and now—and what better time to do so than this bright and beautiful turning point of the seasons?

There’s no formal program—just great company, good food and drinks, and a chance to connect with fellow members of Ottawa’s growing secular community.
