Title:
Serverless Stream Processing
Abstract:
Serverless development is a popular and important concept for today's developers. At this Meetup, Bill Bejeck (DevX, Confluent) will discuss how "serverless stream processing" is not just marketing terms but is an approach that can help you achieve your development goals faster and with minimum development and infrastructure management. In this Meetup, we will go over using AWS Lambda functions that you can use to respond directly to results from a stateful ksqlDB application, creating a powerful combination for real-time applications.
Bio:
Bill Bejeck works at Confluent as an integration architect on the Developer Relations team. Before this role, Bill was an engineer on the Kafka Streams team. Bill is an Apache Kafka committer and PMC member and has written a book about Kafka Streams titled Kafka Streams in Action, with a second edition currently underway.
