Every life is bothered by mystery. Before birth, we were not here; after death, we may not be here in any
reconizable sense. Yet we treat these two borders very differently. Many people fear death deeply. Death has rituals, doctrines, silences and so much unknowns built around it. It takes people from us and it will take us from this world.

So, our starting question is not what happens when we die. That can potentially become a contest of belief. It is, what is death. Is it the end of life, the completion of life or a transformation of life or something else?

What does death mean to you? Do you think about it?
Why do we fear death? Does the answer change if one believes in an afterlife or a soul? Would living a fulfilling and rich life make death more acceptable?

What is death to you?
