We’re planning the perfect girls’ weekend getaway to Montreal, and it already feels like a dream. The plan is to arrive early, drop our bags, and head straight out for a cozy nosh filled with flaky croissants, fresh fruit, and endless coffee. Afterward, we’ll wander down to the waterfront, taking in the views, snapping photos, and just soaking up the energy of the city. The rest of the weekend is all about embracing Montreal’s vibrant culture—exploring charming streets, discovering little boutiques, and indulging in incredible French cuisine, from rich pastries to elegant dinners. It’s the kind of trip where everything feels a little more stylish, a little more delicious, and a lot more fun together.

Old Montreal is like stepping into a different era, with its cobblestone streets, historic architecture, and rich cultural landmarks around every corner. You can spend hours wandering past places like Notre-Dame Basilica, where the intricate interior and glowing stained glass make it one of the most breathtaking sites in the city. Nearby, the Old Port of Montreal offers a beautiful mix of history and waterfront views, perfect for a scenic stroll. Art and history lovers can explore the Pointe-à-Callière Museum, which brings the city’s past to life through archaeological exhibits. Everywhere you go, there’s a blend of French heritage and modern creativity, making Old Montreal feel both timeless and full of life.

Arrive by VIA Rail Friday
Wander the cobblestones, pop into the Basilica
Friday evening Cocktails in the hotel lobby
Saturday enjoy shopping, museums and the Planetarium
Saturday night a foodie dinner experience
Sunday enjoy being lazy, meet for brunch
Sunday afternoon enjoy a group trip by the water front or cultural atraction
Sunday evening relax on VIA rail on our way home

Hotel options nightly either single occupancy ($375pp) Double occupancy ($200pp)
Walking to Old Montreal and Via Rail station

Dinner options could be $50 - 85 pp
Brunch $30 pp

All other meals as you see fit (McDonalds Tim Hortons, cafe's and bistro's)
