June meeting: blume interactive matplotlib visualizations

Details

We're back at Bayview yards for a presentation from John Gill: "Turning the tables on the universe"

In 2021, his tutor from Warwick published "The Geometry of the Universe", which argues that Fred Hoyle was right and the Big Bang theory is a mistake.

John has created two projects to help him explore this work: blume and gotu.

This talk will focus on blume, a new home for the matplotlib table module and a framework to help run matplotlib interactively, using examples from the gotu project where he explores the geometry of the universe.
