Waters and Prairie Hiking Club at Glendalough State Park

This is our annual Memorial hike. We take time to remember people who have inspired us to get outdoors and enjoy nature. It is a great addition to Memorial weekend

Glendalough State Park is a gem in the spring with the trails bathed in soft green light. The prairie grasses are tall enough to sway in the wind. Forest trees are sprouting fluorescent leaves. The wildflowers are popping up to greet the sunlight.

Five years ago Glendalough was the site for the hiking club's first event. Now we return each year to start the warm-weather hiking season.
