Day Hike to Cliff Lake: Dinkey Lakes Wilderness

This is a day hike of at least 10 total miles. It is 5 miles to Cliff Lake from the trailhead. The total change in elevation is about 1,000 ft. The first part of the trail drops about 200 ft. in 1.4 miles. The second part of the trail rises by about 1,200 ft. If you want to try your hand at catching small trout, bring your bait, rod and reel; because, I will be doing some fishing before heading back to the trailhead. I plan on leaving Fresno at 6 am. It takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes to get to the trailhead at Courtright Reservoir. Please bring the 10 essentials and mosquito repellent. We will be passing through the McKinley grove of sequoias so I may stop so others can see the big trees if they have never seen them. I will be driving.
