Digital Camera Basics - Online

Details

Congratulations! You just got your first digital camera (DSLR or mirrorless) and you want to get familiar with it. This LIVE class can help!

This class will :

  • describe the common components of a digital camera body

  • point out the typical dials, gears, and buttons

  • demonstrate how to attach the lens

  • cover how to maintain your digital equipment

  • offer advice about storage and usage of batteries

  • go over some of the camera-related extras, like memory cards

  • provide suggestions for setting up your camera for use

  • discuss some of the most common shooting settings and when to use them

  • describe how to format, delete, and playback your photos in the camera.

This class is for new digital camera users and people changing over from point-and-shoot or cell phone cameras to interchangeable-lens cameras.

As we complete each section of this live online class, participants will have opportunities to ask questions.

The class is expected to run for 1.5 hours and will be limited to 10 people.

Registered participants will receive a Zoom link by email 48 hours before the class.
