Weekend Hike at Limehouse Conservation Area
Details
Scenery: Beautiful creek-side views, forest canopies and excellent opportunities for birdwatching.
Terrain: A mix of dirt paths, boardwalks, and some exposed roots or rocky patches. Expect a few gentle inclines and declines, but nothing overly technical.
Hike Distance: Approx. 8.5 km
Duration: 2-3 hours
Difficulty: Moderate (Great for advanced beginners and intermediate hikers)
Pace: Moderate/Social (Nobody gets left behind!)
What to Bring:
🥾 Footwear: Sturdy running shoes or hiking boots with good grip (the trail can get muddy or slick near the creek after rain).
💧 Water & Snacks: At least 1L of water and a light snack to keep your energy up.
🌲 Protection: Bug spray and sunscreen are highly recommended.
🎒 Layers: Dress in weather-appropriate layers—it can feel cooler down by the water and warmer under the tree canopy.

- Weather: We hike rain or shine, but in the event of severe weather (thunderstorms/heavy downpours), a cancellation or rescheduling notice will be posted here by 8am on the morning of the hike.
