Portballintrace to Giants Causeway

This walk will be Portballintrace to Giants Causeway. We have classed this as an "Amber" walk as it is quite long, 15.5 km.

We will meet up at the Exchange street car park Belfast, to pool cars, leaving at 10:00 am, so please arrive 10mins before this.

The walk will start at Salmon Rock Beach car park, Portballintrae, BT57 8US at 11:30 am, and also end here, coming back some of the way on a different route.

Terrain
This walk is on sand and rocky paths and a small stretch of tarmac, most of the way is flat with some ascend not very steep.

Resources
Waterproof hiking boots or shoes are recommended for this walk. Also bring a waterproof coat.
Bring lunch and something to drink. You could also bring your swimming gear as we will finish the walk on a lovely beach.

Duration
This walk including lunch will take about 5 to 6 hours, depending on how much time we spend admiring the beauty of this place, and watching out for dolphins. (there is a toilet and cafe at Salmon Rock car park)
