Dungiven: Banagher Glen forest park, in the Sperrins.

This will be a moderate hike (Amber), suit anyone with average fitness.

We meet at Exchange street car park, leaving at 10am. There we can share cars or give lifts to anyone who needs one. Alternatively you can meet us at the walk starting point by 11:30am.

Terrain
The hike at the start will be on stoney surfaces but the rest is on good solid paths.

Resources
Hike shoes with good grips would be ideal for this hike.
Please bring plenty of water and some food. Check the forecast before you go and dress accordingly
Always brings a waterproof coat and a extra layer of clothing in your rucksack.

Duration
This is a 12 k hike with a accent of 300 meters in the first part, then it is all down hill to the beautiful Altnaheglish reservoir where we will have lunch then down hill on good paths and 3km of tarmac back to the car park
Including lunch it will take about 4 hours to do this hike.
