Portrush: Town and Beach walk

The first hike of 2026 will be our 'traditional' first easy walk of the year at Portrush.

Sample the fresh sea air, watch the surfers on the East Strand, enjoy your own packed lunch or snack at the White Rocks, meet new people, and have drinks before we return to Belfast on the train.

Meeting at: Grand Central Station Belfast by 9am for train leaving at 9.10am.
Alternatively, meet at Portrush Train Station at 11.00am.

Distance: 4 miles
Finish at 2.15pm approx for refreshments in the town, such as beer and chips.
- Return from Portrush by train
- Fare (ask for Tracker Return to Portrush, £10)

Route: this hike is rated Green (easy for a person of average fitness)

Dogs: as long as they can be called to lead

Gear: remember to have warm clothing and a waterproof jacket, etc. It could be windy and cold.

Lunch: please bring a packed lunch, water and a flask of tea / coffee.
