Mournes: Windy Gap, Slievemoughanmore, Slievemageogh

We will be exploring the Windy Gap and Slievemoughanmore, descending via Pigeon Rock and Slievemageogh. Dogs are permitted by the landowner but must be kept on a lead. There are cattle and sheep grazing nearby.

Meeting Point:
We meet Exchange street car park, leaving at 10:00am. There we can share cars or give lifts to anyone who needs one. Please DM us if you need this.

Alternatively you can meet us at the start of the walk, The starting point is in parking area is at the very end of the road past Attical GAC, which narrows to a rough lane. The walk will begin at 11.45am.
Please try to be at your meeting point at least 10 mins before these times.

Terrain: Uneven, rocky ground with steep ascent and descent. Parts may be boggy underfoot. There is a stream to cross towards the end of the hike.

Resources: Strong, waterproof boots, hiking poles are also recommended. Check the weather in advance and dress accordingly. It will be cold this weekend so a fleece or an extra layer is recommended. Bring something to eat and drink for lunch and a few snacks.

Duration: This hike will take approximately 5 hours.
