Out and About Vancouver

**Out and About + Meetup.com**
We’re a group of about 300 gay and bisexual men (and their friends and allies) in Greater Vancouver who enjoy the outdoors. Activities include hiking, walking, cycling, kayaking, camping and more — based entirely on what members want to do. While we’ve only been on Meetup since 2015, Out and About has been active for over 30 years.
Most events are local, but some are further afield. In past years, members have organized trips to Death Valley, Big Sur, Yosemite, the Utah national parks, Spain, Japan, India, Turkey, and beyond. There are social events year-round — from barbecues to nights at the opera. All events are member-organized, and open to prospective members. Once you're a member, you're encouraged to plan and post events yourself.

### How to Join (TWO steps):

1. Join this Meetup group.
2. Attend some events to see if it’s a good fit. If it is, fill out a Membership Application and submit it, specifying how you'll cover the membership fee.

After we receive your application, you’ll get full access to our calendar, member directory, and the ability to lead events.

If we haven’t received your application within 3 months, we’ll assume the group’s not for you and remove you from the Meetup group. Usually you'll get advanced notice of this, but it's not guaranteed.

### Who’s This For?

We're not exclusive to gay men, but we are focused. About 98% of participants are gay or bisexual men. If you're comfortable in that space and have genuine interest and acceptance for the community — you're welcome, no matter how you identify.
