🌄 Hike to Slieve Doan – Collab with Queer Women Collective (QWC)

We’re heading to the heart of the Mournes for a community hike up Slieve Doan, and you’re invited! This special day out is in collaboration with Queer Women Collective (QWC) – a celebration of queer joy, nature, and shared connection. Whether you’re an experienced hiker or just nature-curious, this trail offers a moderate climb with stunning panoramic views from the summit.

At the summit (and along the way), we’ll take time to breathe, chat, and enjoy the beauty around us. For anyone feeling bold, there’ll be an optional wild dip in the lake near the base – so bring swimwear if that’s your thing! There’ll be plenty of time to relax, eat, and soak up the vibe post-hike.

Once we return to the trailhead, we’ll wind down with tea, coffee, and chats – hot drinks will be provided.

What to bring
🥾 Sturdy hiking boots/shoes
🧥 Waterproof jacket & warm layers
🎒 Small backpack
🧢 Hat & sunscreen (just in case ☀️)
🧽 Towel & swimwear (for the lake dip – optional)
🍽️ Picnic lunch & snacks to fuel your hike
💧 Water (at least 1L recommended)
