🏃♂️ 5K Marathon Prep Training Session
Details
When: Sunday, 22nd March
Time: 11:00 a.m.
Location: Victoria Park, Belfast (car park)
Cost: £3.50
With the Belfast Marathon on the horizon, we’re kicking off our prep with a focused and supportive 5K training session at Victoria Park. This session is designed to be great for beginners who are building confidence, while still fun and useful for more experienced runners looking to sharpen their training.
The session will be led by Ryan Hamilton (@YourPhysiqueCoach), a personal trainer with a strong passion for running. Ryan runs his own weekly running group and has completed two marathons. He’ll guide us through a structured warm-up, pacing advice, and practical tips to help you prepare safely and effectively for race day.
We’ll run a 5K route within the park, similar to the well-known parkrun course, making it a perfect benchmark ahead of the marathon.
Please note: Out & Active NI already has three relay teams confirmed for the Belfast Marathon and we are not taking any further relay applications. This training session is open to everyone who would like to run and prepare together.
After the run, we’ll wind down with tea, coffee, and biscuits, giving everyone a chance to chat, recover, and connect.
