Join Out & Active NI for a full-day adventure to Rathlin Island, a stunning and unique destination off the North Coast, famous for its dramatic cliffs, rich history, and incredible birdlife, including the much-loved puffins. This will be a social and active day combining a coastal hike, wildlife spotting, and time to explore the island, with a mix of walking and optional transport to make the most of our time.

10:00 – Ferry departs from Ballycastle
10:45 – Arrive on Rathlin Island
11:00 – Begin hike towards the RSPB West Lighthouse
13:00 – Arrive at West Lighthouse, see puffins and enjoy lunch
14:30 – Return towards Church Bay (via Puffin Bus)
15:30 – Free time at Church Bay
Optional activities include:
• Short walk towards East Lighthouse (time permitting)
• Visiting the island museum or gift shop
• Seal watching at Kelp House
• Optional swim (weather permitting)
17:00 – Ferry departs Rathlin Island

• The Puffin Bus has limited capacity, and the group may be split if needed, but this will be coordinated on the day
• Final arrangements may be adjusted slightly depending on group size and conditions
• Please ensure you can travel to Ballycastle in time for the 10:00 a.m. ferry

• If you can no longer attend, you must let the Out & Active NI organisers know in advance. This helps avoid wasted spaces and allows others the opportunity to attend.
• You may resell or transfer your ticket, but you must inform us of the name of the person taking your place.
• This event maintains a strict zero drugs and alcohol policy. Anyone under the influence will be asked to leave immediately and no refunds will be provided.
• All outdoor activities are undertaken at your own risk, and participants should ensure they are comfortable with the distance and terrain.
