This is a 61.5 km loop ride on paved surfaces with an additional 5 km on trails, if the trails are cyclable. Approximately 2 km of this ride is on the shoulder of Hwy 1. There is a long uphill climb with 280 m of elevation gain over 14 km in the center of the ride. Once we reach the top of the hill we have a 14 km downhill ride with 280 m elevation loss. The remaining 32 km are relatively flat. There is a coffee break at the 16 km mark and lunch will be at The Abyss Trail Head. We will be catching the 7:45 Ferry from Tsawwassen to Duke Point and return on the 3:15 or 5:45 Duke Point to Tsawwassen Ferry.
Difficulty: Moderate / Hard if you have been biking regularly.
Distance: 61 - 67 km
Estimated Ride Time: 5.5 hrs
Bring: snacks//water and Pack a Lunch. There are no food facilities at the lunch stop

Please be sure your bike is in good condition, tires are inflated and brakes are in good working order before arriving at the starting point. Carrying a Repair Kit and an extra inner tube is recommended. To help you to be seen and heard on the road, the following equipment is also recommended: a bell, flashing front and back lights or reflectors and a mirror.
